Updates to South Carolina’s liquor laws recently received an endorsement from FreedomWorks, a prominent conservative and libertarian advocacy group, supporting a seven day liquor sales movement in South Carolina. The group also endorsed a similar effort in Texas, a state with similarly restrictive and outdated liquor sales laws. This endorsement from FreedomWorks sends a resounding message to Republican South Carolina legislators that the seven day sales movement is one that aligns with the pro-business and liberty-based messaging of the Republican party.

It’s time to bring South Carolina into the 21st century. It’s time to give consumers and businesses the freedom of seven day liquor sales and let the liquor industry enjoy the same playing field as beer and wine.
